Cyprus Goat Meat Destroyed for Illegal Slaughter

52 kg of goat meat have been destroyed after a random check revealed that it had come from non-branded animals that were illegally slaughtered, said the Veterinary Services today.

The meat was found at the 'Amarillis' farm in Arakapas, they added. As the animals were not slaughtered in a licensed abattoir the meat was destroyed. The owner of the farm has been reported to the necessary authorities.
