Romanian Couple Killed in Road Accident

A Romanian couple were killed in a road accident this afternoon, said police.

The couple, whose names have not been released pending the notification of next of kin, died when their vehicle collided at high speed with a tree, which split in two from the impact.

Police said that the accident is probably due to excessive speed and are investigating the circumstances of the latest road fatalities. So far this year, 23 people have died in road accidents.
