Dangerous Laptop Batteries Taken off Market - Hewlett Packard

Hewlett-Packard and Compaq have withdrawn several battery packs for their laptops from the market, said the government.

The batteries are hazardous due to the danger of overheating and injury, and consumers are advised to stop using them immediately and replace them.

The models affected include HP Pavilion dv 2000, dv 2500, dv 2700, dv 6000, dv 6500, dv 6700, dx 6000, dx 6500, dx 6700, and Compaq Presario A900, C700, F500, F700, 3000, V3500, V3700.
