65-year-old Pedestrian Killed in Accident

A 65-year-old Limassol woman was killed in a road accident which happened at 8.20am, said police.

Loukia Kyriakidou was critically injured when she was struck by a car driven by a 71-year-old man, who ran into her as she was walking on Biotias street. The driver then crashed into two parked cars.

Kyriakidou was rushed to Limassol General Hospital but did not survive her injuries, passing away at around 3.40 yesterday afternoon.

The driver of the car was arrested by Limassol traffic police, who are investigating the accident.
