'Stalinist Methods' in Arrest - Matsakis
Former Euro MP Marios Matsakis has accused the government of using 'Stalinist methods' in his arrest after he protested the Ministry of Defence's target practice in the village of Kalo Chorio.
Matsakis was arrested last night following an incident in which Matsakis entered a restricted military zone and damaged practice targets.
The 66-year-old and other residents of the village said that the target practice increases the risk of fires in the dry fields around the military zone.
