18-year-old Girl Alleges Rape
Larnaca police are investigating allegations of kidnap and rape made yesterday by an 18-year-old girl.
She said that she was walking on Makarios Avenue in Larnaca at 2.30am Monday with her 19-year-old friend when they were approached by two unknown men in a car. The men forced the girls into the car and took them to an apartment in Larnaca, according to the victims' statments. The 18-year-old was forced to have sex against her will, she said.
The girls were then released and abandoned near Avxentiou Avenue, they said.
Larnaca crime detectives are investigating the case.
