Russian Tourist Killed in Road Accident
A 39-year-old Russian tourist died today in a motorcyle accident in Limassol just one day before he was due to leave the island, said police.
The man's name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin, and police said he arrived on the island on August 4th and was due to leave August 14th.
The victim was on his motorcycle in the entrance to a hotel in Limassol when he came off the vehicle and hit the road. He was not wearing a crash helmet and was fatally injured, said police.
The cause of the accident is not yet known, and Limassol traffic police are investigating.
