Cyprus Unemployment Rises 73% Year-on-Year
Unemployment figures have spiked by 73% for the month of November year-on-year, rising to 20,892 persons, said the Cyprus Statistical Service today.
Compared to last month, unemployment for November rose by 1.6% in November, continuing a rising trend that arose in August 2009. The economic sectors affected are mainly construction, trade, hotels and restaurants, public administration and real estate activities.
