Road Fatality in Nicosia

A 22-year-old motorcyclist from Geri in the Nicosia district was killed in a road accident this afternoon, said police.
Marios Kommatos was driving his motorcycle on Ftelas street in Geri Industrial Area when he collided with a truck in front of him driven by a 58-year-old man.
The 22-year-old was not wearing a helmet and was fatally injured in the accident, said police. He was taken to Nicosia General Hospital and doctors certifed his death at 1.45pm.
Nicosia Traffic police are investigating this latest traffic tragedy which comes in the wake of three fatalities last week.
