Greece Air Traffic Controllers - 4-Hour Strike
Air traffic to and from Cyprus and Greece will be disrupted tomorrow for four hours between 3pm-7pm due to an air traffic controllers' strike, said Cyprus Airways.
Passengers travelling during those hours can expect their flights to be delayed and should contact their travel agents or airline. The strike is in protest against government austerity measures in the wake of an economic crisis in Greece.
Meanwhile, air traffic controllers in Cyprus said they are planning a strike on October 15th and 22nd for 10 hours at Larnaca and Paphos Airways. They are protesting security checks which they say use scanners that have negative health impacts.
