Hellenic Bank Robbery - Limassol
Two robbers stole 25,000 euros from a branch of the Hellenic Bank on Franklin Roosevelt street in Limassol at 10.20am, said police.
The two men entered the bank with uncovered faces, then covered them with stockings; most likely allowing the closed circuit cameras to film their faces, said investigators. After stealing the money from the bank which had seven employees and four customers, the men ran out of the back door and escaped in a white van.
Police are circling the area with a helicopter and other units and are searching for a man around 1.85m tall wearing a white shirt and jeans. The other suspect is wearing a black t-shirt with jeans.
