43-year-old Nicosia Man Road Fatality

A 43-year-old man from Nikitari was killed in a road accident in Nicosia Sunday morning, said police.

Iacovos Mina Giakoumis was driving a four-by-four truck in the direction of Nicosia on Tseri Avenue at 6am Sunday morning when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed through a wall into a cemetary.

According to police, the victim died in the accident, and his death was certified when he was taken to hospital. Traffic investigators have appealed for anyone who saw the accident to call the Citizen's Line on 1460.
