3,988 Speeding Tickets in Two Weeks

Police handed out 3,988 speeding tickets between November 8-21st, said a police spokesman amid World Day for the Remembrance of Road Traffic Victims.
According to a statement by President Demetris Christofias on the occasion, there was a 31 percent reduction in the number of road fatalities by the end of 2009, and the number of injuries also fell by 51 percent.
