'Samurai' Robber Strikes Again in Limassol
Police are still hunting for a man who has robbed kiosks and bakeries while armed with a long, sword-like knife, earning himself the nickname of the 'Samurai robber'.
Wearing a stocking over his head, the man robbed a bakery in Limassol at 9.35 last night, said police. After threatening employees with a long knife, he grabbed money from the till and ran away immediately afterwards.
Police are also searching for another robber, who attempted to steal money from a second bakery in Limassol. At 9.15pm last night, he forced open the bakery's till and tried to take out money. But an employee managed to stop him.
While making his getaway, the unknown robber threw his knife on the ground and ran to a car that was parked outside.
Limassol crime police are investigating the series of robberies.
