25-year-old Killed in Highway Accident

andreas pazaros25-year-old Andreas Pazaros has been killed in a road accident on the Limassol-Paphos highway, said police.

Pazaros had a collision with another car at 6.20pm last night. The driver of the other car abandoned the scene of the accident, leaving the 25-year-old Limassol resident trapped in his car.

The victim had to be freed by fire services before being rushed to Limassol General Hospital where doctors discovered he had sustained traumatic brain injuries. Pazaros was taken to Nicosia General Hospital, but lost the fight for his life at around 11pm last night.

The driver who abandoned the scene of the accident was later identified and arrested. He is a 34-year-old man and police are investigating his claims about the accident, they said.

Episkopi police station are investigating the causes of the accident.
