20-yr-old Motorcyclist Killed in Road Accident

A 20-year-old motorcyclist has been killed in a road accident in Larnaca, said police.
Timotheos Kantides was driving his motorcycle on Spyros Kyprianou Avenue in Larnaca at 12.45am this morning when he was hit by a car which veered into his lane. Kantides lost control of his motorcycle and fell on the road, sustaining serious injuries. The young man was rushed to Larnaca General Hospital but died of his injuries not long after the accident, said investigators.
The unknown driver of the car fled the scene and police said that they do not yet have his registration number. Larnaca traffic police are investigating.
