House Cancels Xmas Party
The House of Representatives has cancelled its annual Christmas party out of respect to former president Tassos Papadopoulos whose remains were stolen from his grave on December 11th.
The party is usually held after the state budget is voted upon, but because of the unprecedented crime, the representatives decided unanimously against holding it this year.
House Speaker Marios Karoyian put forward the idea, said a government statement.
