Paphos Intl. Best Resort Airport in Europe - Poll

Paphos International Airport, operated by Hermes Airports, has been awarded 'Best Resort Airport in Europe' by a Thomson Airways poll.

"The greatest achievement and satisfaction for a company is when its customers rank it first in the market. For Pafos International Airport this recognition and achievement came just one year after the start of operations," said the company in a statement today.

In a poll held by the large airline Thomson Airways, their passengers ranked Pafos International Airport as first among the major airports of Europe. The poll concerned all airports in Thomson Airways network during the 2009 summer period. Thomson Airways accounts for more than 25% of the passengers served at Pafos International Airport.

This is the first time that an airport of the Cyprus Republic has been awarded “Best Resort Airport in Europe” by the travelling public.

Chief Executive of Hermes Airports Alfred van der Meer expressed his "satisfaction with this great distinction and congratulated the staff of Pafos Airport for their excellent work and high level of service to the travelling public."
