170 Weddings in One Day - Larnaca
Larnaca Municipality is organising a mass civil marriage ceremony for 170 couples from Israel on June 17th, said an announcement by Israeli tour agents Natan Uretsky.
It will be the largest number of civil marriages held in one day, said the statement.
The ceremony will take place in the Medieval Castle for Israelis and Russians arriving by ship from Haifa. Including the couples and guests, there will be around 600 people attending the weddings. The couples will be sprinkled with rosewater and be entertained by Cypriot dancers after the ceremony.
