Cyprus Airways Catering Under Scrutiny

Cyprus Airways catering services are under scrutiny after a sub-par meal was discovered by inspectors, said a report in Politis newspaper.

According to a health and safety source in the airline, the problem was spotted some months ago because caterers were continuing to supply meals that were past the use-by dates. Although the meals still have some months of serving life after these dates, quality declines over time and eventually the problem came to light.

A spokesman for Cyprus Airways said that inspections would be stepped up and that so far no other sub-par meals have been found.
