25-year-old Motorcyclist Killed in Road Accident - Nicosia
25-year-old Panayiotis Stylianou was killed Saturday night in a motorcycle accident in Nicosia.
The accident happened on Griva Dighenis Avenue at around 8pm on July 9th. Police said that the motorcyclist lost control, veered off the road and his motorcyle hit the pavement. Stylianou was thrown off the motorcycle and collided with a traffic sign and a tree. Although he was wearing a helmet, the force of the collision was such that he died in the accident.
Nicosia traffic police are investigating.
