Russia’s answer to Priscilla Queen of the Desert is performing in Cyprus.  The troupe of Drag Queens will parody female artists such as Tina Turner and Whitney Houston.  The show is on Aug 6th at the Patticheon Amphitheatre in Larnaca.  Call 7000 3073 for tickets which are €30 or email

The Grammy-nominated and Mobo winner, Jamaican singer Sean Paul will be live in Cyprus on Sunday August 7th.   He’ll perform his greatest hits at Dolce Club in Limassol from 10pm – 5am.  Tickets on sale from Paradise of Music of Music in Nicosia and in Larnaca from the Amalfi Café priced €40 Arena / €80 VIP. Acclaimed actor John Malkovich will be in Cyprus on September 17th performing at the Makarios III Amphitheatre in Strovolos in a play called ‘The Infernal Comedy: Confession of a serial killer’. A Yoga detox retreat is taking place on Aug 19th- 21st at Tochni Village, Larnaca.  The retreat will be hosted by Dada Dharmavedananda from Cebu in the Philippines. Cost is €160 per person for a single room or €130 per person for a shared double room. Call 9658 9766.

The Aboslut Summer Party with Sander van Doorn takes place on Friday Auguest 12th at Makronissos Beach Club, kicking off at 10pm.  There’ll be opening sets from Michel Fialas and DJ Peyo and performances from Alice-in-Flames and Dark Angels.  Tickets cost €25 in advance from  or €30 on the night. Top DJ Armin Van Buuren will be playing a live set on 18th of August at Finikudes Beach in Larnaca, and joining him on the decks, one of the rising stars in the dance music industry, Blake Jarell plus a warm-up set by Haris C.    The First Wave of tickets are €20, Second wave of tickets are €30.  In Nicosia tickets are available from: Café Caprice, Octagono Kiosk, Coffee Stop Tseriou, Nikkis 32 Kiosk, Mix FM.
