Pensioner Loses Life in Road Accident - Troodos

A 71-year-old man lost his life in a road accident after his car plunged 10 metres down a ravine on the Moutoullas-Pedoulas road, said police.

Styliano Hadjinikola lost control of the vehicle in an accident which happened at around 5.40pm. He was fatally injured and his 68-year-old wife suffered head injuries. According to the autopsy, the cause of Hadjinikola's death was a heart attack which happened before the crash.

Police said that neither of them were wearing a seatbelt.

The couple lived at Agios Mamas in Lakatamia.
