Canon C300 Camera Unveiled
Film-makers in Cyprus and abroad have been waiting for Canon to unveil its new camera, the C300, and last night it was released on the Paramount lot in Hollywood.
The new camera is described by GizMag.com as a digital cinema camera and will appeal to film-makers on a budget and TV directors looking for a cost-effective camera with high-quality performance. Much less expensive at around $20,000 euros than RED's digital camera, the Canon 300 has 4K-capable cinema specific lenses with 14.5-60mm T2.6 wide zoom in both a cinema standard PL lens mount form or a Canon EF lens mount form.
The camera is available as of January 2012, full details and review by experts can be seen here.
