18-Year-Old Killed in Road Accident, Lakatamia

18-year-old Nikos Nikolaou was killed in a road accident in Lakatamia yesterday morning after a collision with a truck in the opposite lane, said police.
The young man veered into the oncoming lane whilst driving his moped and the truck driven by a 71-year-old crashed into him. A doctor at Nicosia General Hospital certified his death.
The truck driver tested negative for alcohol, said Nicosia traffic police who are investigating the accident.
