Population In North Rises 11.2% to 294,906 - Official
The de facto population in north Cyprus has risen 11.2 percent to 294,906 persons, according to a statement from Turkish-Cypriot officials.
A headcount was held December 4th during which the entire population was under curfew and confined to their homes until the census was completed.
According to provisional results, the densest population centres are in Turkish-held Nicosia with 98,739 persons and in Kyrenia with 72,284 persons.
A census in the government-controlled areas is still ongoing.
