This Saturday Jan 21st at Tigadoo in N/sia come and make 3D Dioramas.  Taking old shoe boxes, using Playmais and other materials, children will learn to build scenes that come to life. The Shoe Factory will be screening a selection of films between now and March.  On Jan 22nd at 8.30, you can see ‘Why We Fight’, which was made in 2005 and asks the questions ‘Is American foreign policy dominated by the idea of military supremacy and has the military become too important in American life? The Cyprus Symphony Orchestra are performing 2 afternoon family concerts for children 3½-7½ and parents at Pallas Theatre, Paphos Gate, N/isa on Sat Feb 4th.  The concerts are at 4pm and 5.30pm, entrance is free for children but adults pay €7. For tickets call the box office on 2241 0181.

‘Stories on the Buffer zone’ is a photographic exhibition together with film screenings which can be seen at the Ledra street checkpoint until 29th Jan from 9am-7pm.

Japanese artist Chiaki Kamikawa is exhibiting her work at the Omikron Gallery in N/sia (2, Vasileos Pavlou St, 2267 8240).  The exhibition is on until Feb 11th.

Technology from the past is on show at the Leventis Municipal Museum N/sia (15-17 Hippocrates St Laiki Yitonia).  Discovered in 1900,   The Antikythera Mechanism is the world’s oldest known scientific calculator it’s thought to date back to 150-100BC. It runs until Feb 17th.
