Authorities Investigate Death of 11-year-old Girl, Limassol

11-year-old girl dies in limassolAuthorities are investigating the sudden and unexplained death of an 11-year-old girl who died late yesterday afternoon at her private school in Limassol.

Alexandra Louka was playing with her twin sister and other students during a break when she suddenly fell down unconscious and was rushed to hospital. She was pronounced dead at Limassol General Hospital after doctors tried to revive her.

The shockingly unexpected death has saddened Limassol residents and an autopsy held today at 10am did not shed light on how she died because the cause of death was not found, said the state medical examiner's office. Laboratory test results are expected to offer further information.
