Germasoyia Dam Overflows Overnight
Germasoyia Dam in the Limassol district has overflowed overnight, but there is no danger to citizens or property, said Mayor Andreas Christou in comments on state radio.
The dam has a capacity of 13.5 million cubic meters of water and covers the needs of Limassol and surrounding communities.
Seven water reservoirs have overflowed after heavy rainfall in the last weeks, including Paphos reservoirs in Asprokremmos, Kannaviou, Arminou, Pomos and Nicosia dam Xyliatos.
