Cyprus-France Defence Partnerships Going Smoothly - Minister

Cyprus's defence agreements with France are going smoothly, said Defence Minister Demetris Eliades after meeting with French Chief of Staff General Berthand Ract-Madoux today.

Relations between the two countries' ministries of defence will strengthen even further, said Ract-Madoux.

The two officials exchanged views on ways of strengthening existing cooperation between the armed forces of both countries, they said.

Cyprus has France's full support on issues related to the island's EU presidency in the second half of the year, said Eliades.
