Toddler Dies in Fall from Fourth Floor, Limassol

christos kanteides fall from windowA one-year-old child from Limassol died yesterday afternoon after falling out of a window 12m off the ground, said police.

Christos Kantaides was in his fourth-floor apartment home when he escaped his grandmother's attention and under circumstances that are being investigated, fell out of the window onto the courtyard, said police.

The child was critically injured and an ambulance rushed him to Limassol General Hospital. He succumbed to his injuries at 9.45 pm while doctors were planning to transfer him to Nicosia General.

Limassol investigators are looking into the circumstances of the toddler's death.
