Nicosia Policeman Attacked in Hospital
Two men and a third suspect are being held by police for questioning on suspicion of beating a policeman in the Nicosia General Hospital.
The policeman, who was on guard in the hospital, was attacked by the men, aged 26 and 28, at 4.20am. According to the police, the suspects wanted to visit a friend in hospital. As they entered the hospital, they started shouting and causing trouble, said the police.
After causing grievous bodily harm, the two suspects were arrested and a third man who accompanied them is being sought.
