Charis Ioannou Trio Feat. Sarah Fenwick

Jazz fans are set to enjoy some of the most creative and inspiring jazz performers on the island in a session that starts at 10pm in the Blue Bar, which has a relaxed ambiance perfect for the enjoyment of quality music, and good wine.

Vocalist Sarah Fenwick is one of the original voices of jazz on the island and has performed in concerts and other events for 15 years in Cyprus, the US, Italy, Kuwait and Israel.

Saxophone player Charis Ioannou is a live performer and recording artist who collaborates with various musicians including The Petsteppers, Uptown Beat, Kyprogenia and The Cyprus Big Band with which he performs around the island and other neighboring countries.

In 2008, The Petsteppers released their debut album featuring compositions from its band members.  The group was invited to play at The Cracow Jazz Festival in Poland and the concert’s success was verified by the festival’s director who invited the group to participate in the upcoming festival of 2009. Charis leads his own trio that has appeared in clubs and festivals in Cyprus, England, Greece, Kuwait, and Serbi as well as teaching saxophone and jazz idiom at the Nicosia University.
