The fabulous Steppin’ Out Jazz Trio stars Alice Ayvazian – voice, Konstantinos Efraimidis –clarinet/saxophone and Dimitris Miaris – piano. The trio performs Jazz standards from the 30s, 40s and 50s, composed by the greats of that era, such as George Gershwin, Duke Ellington and Richard Rodgers and as performed by Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan among others!

Konstantinos Efraimidis was born in Thessaloniki, Greece, in 1986. He started his classical studies at the age of 12. He is a classically trained clarinetist who received his diploma from the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. During that time he was a member of the State Conservatory Symphonic Orchestra, the Symphonic Orchestra of Aristotle and the Concert Band of Sindos. He is currently continuing his music studies in Jazz Performance under the instruction of saxophonist Charis Ioannou at the University of Nicosia.
Dimitris Miaris was born in Nicosia in 1991. He started playing classical piano from 6 years old. At the age of 16 Dimitris had his first connection with Jazz through the “Jazz Futures” workshops that took place in Nicosia with great musicians such as Sacha Perry, Vahagn Hayrapetyan, Ari Roland and Chris Byars. Since then he took part in almost all the “Jazz Futures” workshops and had various live performances in Cyprus and Greece. He received his Bachelor Degree for Jazz Piano at the Ionian University’s Jazz Department in 2009 under the instruction of George Kontrafouris.
Alice Ayvazian received her Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Berklee College of Music, Boston, Massachusetts, a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Saint Mary’s University, San Antonio, Texas and a second Master’s in Classical Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. In the United States, she participated as lead and backing vocalist in numerous studio recording projects as well as performances and concerts. She is currently instructor of Jazz Voice at the Department of Music and Dance at the University of Nicosia (since 2009) and the Director of the University’s Jazz Choir (since 2011).

Sarah’s Jazz Club hosts 5 fantastic Cypriot jazz musicians for a groovy night full of fun and beats.
The band will experiment in an alternative interpretation of standard jazz, latin and funk tunes, groove being the dominant ingredient. All five musicians have rock-solid credentials as recording artists and live show performers in Cyprus and abroad.

Andreas Panteli began with classical training at Ethniko Odeio Cyprus with Miroslav Gospodinov, followed by jazz piano studies at the Rotterdam Conservatory and finally with master’s at the Royal Conservatory of Den Haag. In 2008 he was distinguished with the first price at the Nicola’s Economou Contest. In the last few years he has been presenting his work in Cyprus and Europe, with various groups and music is centered around improvisation. In 2014 he began working together with Louvana Records, creating the Improvisation workshop for the Music Village Feggaros.
Andreas Rodosthenous was born in Limassol , Cyprus in 1977. He started music by playing the electric and acoustic guitar and later the electric bass.
In 1999 he moved to Athens, were he recorded two cd’s with the famous guitar player “Christoforos Krokidis” and on one of them “Vasilis Papakostantinou” is singing. During that time he toured in London to play in the “Picadilli Theater” with the singer “Michalis Xatzigiannis”.
George Koulas is a drummer, percussionist, performer and music creator who has been active playing and creating music for the last 30 years in Cyprus and abroad.. He graduated at Codarts in 2002. He has been collaborating during his long and active career with numerous artists. He has been performing in Cyprus, Greece, Turkey, Lebanon, Sweden, Belgium, Luxembourg, Holland, Italy, Croatia, Serbia, Czech Republic, Spain, Germany, New Orleans, and Boston.
Rodos Panayiotou is a professional percussionist, who holds a diploma from Ellinikon Odeon (1998), and a degree from the Rotterdam Conservatorium in Latin-Jazz and World Music (2005). From 2007 until present he has been teaching drums and percussion at European University Cyprus, as well as at the University of Nicosia. He is also a member of various local ensembles and performs all over Cyprus and abroad. He has performed with artists such as Giorgos Ntalaras, Marios Frangoulis, Pantelis Thalassinos, Vasilis Lekas, Dimitris Mpasis, Kostas Hadjis, Glykeria, Miltiadis Paschalides and many others.
Topping it all off is Michalis Michael on trumpet, who has been performing in Cyprus and abroad for 25 years. An integral musician on the local scene, Mike’s popularity and talent keeps him touring the island’s best-known venues.
