Jazz Party and Jam with Ioannou-Vafeas Quartet


Wednesday November 29th an unforgettable musical and artistic memory with the extraordinary Ioannou-Vafeas Jazz Party and Jam starting at 9:30pm. During the show, the great Jordanian artist Loai Daoud will conduct a live painting workshop.

The Ioannou-Vafeas Quartet will blow music lovers away with a performance in the first set and open the second set for a jam session. Painters and art lovers can enjoy and join the art workshop with Loai Daoud in the gallery. Free-flowing creative energy and art & music for everyone! Loai Daoud is one of Jordan’s most creative and talented young artists and teachers, and is already internationally recognised.

Longtime friends and collaborators, the talented drummer Ioannis Vafeas steals your attention only for the brilliant Charis Ioannou to regain it. Miaris’ piano is sweet and on target. Greg’s bass is warm and fabulous. They are amazing.

Both Ioannis and Charis perform regularly in festivals and concert halls in their homeland and all over Europe. They have numerous collaborations in CD’s, recordings and theatre productions. They are both graduates of the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts, and they hold a Master’s Degree in Jazz Music. They are also members of the faculty in the Department of Music in the University of Nicosia.
