At Home with Pets – Bruno’s Sadness and New Hope

Many of you remember the story of Bruno (http://www.cyprusnewsreport.com/2015/10/home-pets-special-lady-pup-need), the pup almost beaten to death and left paralysed. He was rescued from being put to sleep by the lovely Eva Diamanti and he flourished in her care going from 10 kilos to 22, gaining confidence and learning to move with his mobility wheels.

Sadly last year Eva was diagnosed with terminal cancer and an effort was made to find someone who could go into her home while she was coping with chemotherapy and help her with Bruno and her other rescue animals. 17 year old Loukia was perfect and the animals all loved her.

On January 14^th,2016 Eva passed away peacefully and new homes are being secured for the animals. Loukia decided to offer love and a comfortable home to Bruno and Mandi, one of the other pups whom Bruno loves to play with. Being only 17 years old Loukia needs help with Bruno’s daily/monthly needs so I was asked whether I would help and a fundraiser was set up to cover immediate costs and sponsorship packages are in place. I have also taken over running ‘Bruno’s Sadness’, his Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/brunosadness).

Diapers (we will purchase washable ones for Loukia to try to cut down on future costs)
Wet-wipes
Specialist Food (the state he was rescued in has left him with liver, kidneys and heart issues)

Eva was a special lady, dedicated to the animals she rescued and we shall continue to support and care for her fur-babies as she would have wished. It takes a special 17 year old to decide to offer a big, paralysed dog a forever home and to her I say a huge THANK YOU!!
