Police who stopped a vehicle in a random check in Paphos were astounded to find a 30-year-old woman stuffed into the boot with facial injuries and in a state of complete intoxication, and have arrested the 40-year-old man who was driving the car.

The driver was also drunk, and his blood-alcohol level was at 90mg - the limit is 22mg.

The woman was so drunk she couldn’t explain her injuries and has also been detained while Paphos police investigate.
