Alice Ayvazian

On Wednesday the 30th of September, jazz singer Alice Ayvazian performs at the Library Bar in Limassol, with fantastic musicians Irenaeos Koullouras (bass), Elias Ioannou (trumpet), Stelios Xydias (drums) and Ermis Michail (guitar). The world-class saxophone player Charis Ioannou sat in at a performance at Library Bar last week, let me tell you that he sound absolutely amazing, don’t miss it if you get a chance to see him.

Every Thursday, the band Mood Indigo performs at Vino Cultura in Nicosia, with bass player Greg Makamian, pianist Marios Toumbas and the beautiful singer Irene Athanasiou. The full details can be found on their Facebook event page.

On Friday the 2nd of October, the blues-rock band Zilla Project performs at Tepee Rock Bar in Limassol. The Zilla Project is a 4-piece band playing its version of the blues & rock n roll with many allusions to all styles of American music. They deliver their own original compositions as well as electrified versions of blues classics, in a energetic and super charged 2-hour set. Their Facebook event can be found here.

On October 3rd I have a performance with brilliant guitarist Marinos Neofytou at the Elea Golf Club, the show starts at 7pm on Saturday. We’ll be playing our original songs from our new duet CD ‘Jazz Origins’. All the details can be found on Elea’s Facebook event page.

The queen of jazz Alexia Vassiliou had a performance in Nicosia at the Home for Cooperation for International Peace Day, this lovely lady sang some favourites with a Turkish-Cypriot singer in the name of peace.

There’s a new jazz club in Limassol called Anjeloose, and every week they have a jam session. Check out their Facebook page here for updates.
