New App for Musicians To Plan Less and Play More

A new, innovative idea for musicians comes from Cyprus and it has just launched its website www.bandster.rocks

Great news for musicians around the world come from Nicosia, Cyprus, where the innovative team of Bandster is based. Nektarios Cassar and Natalia Demetriou are the creators of an app that empowers musicians and other performing artists to plan less and play more.

The idea was born out of pure frustration. Nektarios, an experienced performing musician explains:

‘’I was talking to a club owner who wanted to book my band on a specific date. As usual, I could not immediately say yes, I had to do what we musicians do every time a job offer comes our way: start calling and then messaging all band members and venue until everybody agrees on a date. It took me a couple of hours until I reached everyone and I was frustrated! I thought ‘’there must be a simpler way to do this’. I searched and searched for help and found nothing good enough. So right then and there, I decided I would do it myself!’’

Bandster lets performing artists know whether their band members are available in an instant. It has the tailored features that streamline and automate their hassles. It saves them tonnes of time, say the founders.

All in all, it’s a one-stop complete management and communication tool, designed for performing artists by performing artists. The Bandster team has now launched its website www.bandster.rocks

It has already started accepting subscriptions as and people are eager to join its ever growing ecosystem of performing artists. For those early sign ups, the Bandster team is giving them 6 months of free premium features and the opportunity to test the prototype.

‘’People’s feedback is what will make Bandster the most relevant to performing artists ’’, says Natalia. ‘‘Therefore, we are all ears!’’

The co-founders of the startup, ‘ The Bandsters ’ as they are often affectionately called, are two creative entrepreneurs. In September 2015 they entered the IDEA accelerator competition and were one of the 9 teams selected. IDEA is an initiative by Bank of Cyprus and CIIM, which aims in promoting local entrepreneurship. The Bandsters’ message and style is simple.
